Up for sale is a rare Rolex Meters First Red Submariner 1680 on Patent Pending Oyster bracelet. This watch features a beautiful Mk I “Long F” dial with even patina.

1680 reference – 2.10M serial circa 1969

The Details:

• Excellent case that appears previously polished with original chamfers still visible. Expected wear from use.

• Beautiful Mk 1 “Long F” dial. Red text is vibrant. Plots have aged to a pleasing yellow patina. Partial hashmark missing at 7 marker.

• The hands are tritium and appear a shade darker than the dial depending on light.

• Crisp Long 5 insert with some marks. Tritium pearl is missing.

• Original “hooked 7” date disk.

• Serial number and reference are clear and visible.

• Rare Patent Pending 9315 bracelet with some stretch. Stamped with 4.69 and 280 endlinks.

• Caseback stamped II.69 and contains numerous service marks.

• No known service history.
